Today, students in grades 8th–11th at Woodlawn High School had the incredible opportunity to experience the Be Pro Be Proud mobile workshop as part of our ongoing effort to educate students about Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities and high-demand careers.

The Be Pro Be Proud truck is a state-of-the-art, hands-on mobile experience designed to introduce students to skilled professions through interactive simulators and real-world career exploration. Its mission is to connect students with rewarding career pathways in the skilled trades and help address the growing workforce demand across industries such as construction, transportation, manufacturing, utilities, and technical services.

Students were able to participate in exciting simulations including excavating, HVAC, construction, commercial truck driving, train conductor operations, robotic arm technology, plumbing, and more! These immersive experiences allowed students to see firsthand the skills and technology involved in today’s workforce.

We were especially proud to have 7 student MVPs serve as ambassadors on the truck, leading their peers through the simulators and helping showcase the many opportunities available through CTE programs. Their leadership and enthusiasm made today’s experience even more meaningful for our students.

We are excited to offer opportunities like this to our students as we continue introducing them to future career possibilities and helping them discover pathways that match their interests, talents, and goals. The future is bright at Woodlawn!
