Congratulations to Brit Swan and Ben Sowrheaver for their incredible achievements at the FBLA National Leadership Conference held in Anaheim, California!
Ben competed in Marketing, going up against 94 of the top students from across the nation. He completed a rigorous objective test and delivered a professional presentation to a panel of judges, showcasing his ability to apply marketing principles in a real-world scenario. Events like this require strong marketing knowledge—such as understanding target markets, branding, promotion strategies, and market analysis—along with sharp communication and presentation skills. Ben’s presentation and poise earned him a place in the Top 15 in the Nation!
Brit took on the Career Exploration event which challenges students to research and understand a variety of career options, education requirements, job responsibilities, and career pathways. He completed a timed objective test covering this material and competed against 50 students nationwide. Through his preparation and deep understanding of career planning and workforce readiness, Brit earned an outstanding 2nd place in the Nation!
These two young men represented Woodlawn High School, our community, and the state of Arkansas with excellence, determination, and professionalism. We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and the way they prepared for this national stage.
Help us give a huge shoutout to Brit and Ben — your school, community and state are incredibly proud of you!
