The Woodlawn Bears were off and running this week to begin their fall sports season. The Bear football team traveled to Rose Bud on Friday, playing three games. The 7th grade squad was victorious while the Junior Bears suffered a tough defeat. The Senior Bears routed Rose Bud's Senior High Team 42-24.
The Cross Country team also traveled to their first meet of the year at Morro Bay. The results are as follows.
JR Girls - Joleene Holland, 8th Place
Abigail Stone, 5th Place
The Junior Girls also finished in 1st place overall as a team!
SR Boys - Brayden Jones, 4th Place
Isaac Lowe, 3rd Place
The Senior Boys also finished 1st place overall as a team!
Way to go Bears! Next week the Cross Country team will be traveling to Hot Springs on Tuesday for their next meet and the football Bears will be hosting Midland for their first home game of the season.
