The Woodlawn Bears varsity football team won a wild shoot-out Friday night in their first home game back since the second week of the season. The Bears were able to secure a 76-56 victory over the Dermott Rams in the second half after both teams fought to a 44-44 draw in the first half.
The Cross Country runners also were in action this weekend at the Rison in the Fall 5k run. Senior Bear runners Isaac Lowe and Dakota Sullivan placed 2nd and 3rd overall in the event.
Next week will be a bye week for the football team but the Booster Club will be hosting the 2nd annual Fall Festival on the football field. The Bears will be hosting the Marvel-Elaine Mustangs on October 31st for homecoming. The regular season will conclude on November 7th with a Senior Night matchup with the Brinkley Tigers.
