Be sure to come to tonight's game as we honor all of our basketball teams of the 1970's! Tipoff is at 5:30 and the recognition will take place between the Senior Girls and Senior Boys games.

Attn WES Parents:

We would like to issue a friendly reminder about afternoon dismissal procedures at WES. All parents who are picking up their children in the afternoon need to proceed through the car rider line. There has been an increasing number of parents who have begun walking up to the door to get their children. While we understand that there may be timing issues that make it important for you to get your children as soon as possible, for the sake of safety we will no longer be allowing parents to come up to the door to get their students. Thank you for helping us to ensure that we have a safe and orderly dismissal process that will allow us to get all students where they are supposed to be in a safe and efficient manner. If you have any questions please feel free to contact WES building administration at 870-357-2211.

Don't forget to place your Valentine's orders with Student Council! Last day to submit orders will be Monday, February 9th and the orders will be delivered on Friday, February 13th.

Attention Bus Parents: We will run all of our routes this afternoon. The only modification we are making is for our Lawerence Cove and Rushing Parker students. We will not be able to turn around on those roads so we will have to drop your students off on Hill Harper Road.

Lady Bears! Be sure to grab your favorite Bear and bring them to our Daddy-Daughter dance on February 21st! ❤️🐻❤️🐻

Attention Bus riders and parents. The side roads to the north of the school are still covered to the point that we cannot safely run our buses or make our turnarounds. We will not be running our Bear route or our Monkey route this afternoon or tomorrow morning. We will evaluate the roads again for tomorrow afternoon.

Woodlawn Schools will resume a regular schedule tomorrow February 3rd. Due to ice still on the roads north of the school, we will still not be able to send out the Bear route or the Monkey route tomorrow morning. We will reevaluate whether we can run those routes tomorrow afternoon. Thank you for your patience!

Here is our updated basketball schedule for this week.

After assessing the road conditions in the district. Woodlawn Schools will have a 10:00 am start Monday, February 2nd. Buses will run South of the school. Due to the continued ice coverage on several side roads, buses will not run North of the school tomorrow. If your child rides the Wolf, Rabbit, or Horse routes there will be a bus available. The Bear and Monkey routes will not run tomorrow morning or evening. The buses will run at the adjusted time for the 10:00 am start.

Tonight's scheduled games at Magnet Cove have been rescheduled for Saturday, January 31st, at 12:00. The Junior Girls will tip things off, followed by the Senior Girls and Senior Boys games. Be sure to check out the school website for further updates at whsbears.org

With the incoming weather predictions, the Woodlawn School District will be releasing students at 2:00 pm on Friday. This will allow for parents to pick up their children, and buses to transport safely. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s building administrator.
