"We would like to thank all of the organizations and volunteers within our community that have previously donated these last two months! So far our ministry has been able to serve 23 students with a food bag that contains 2 breakfast items, 2 lunch items, 2 snack items, 2 dinner items, and 2 drink items every weekend of September. Multiple people have reached out to see if we had any sort of list of things we would need. Our ministry now has a registry through Walmart. When searching through Walmart registries, select "Any Occasion Registry" and search "Woodalwn Community Backpack Ministry" or use this link: https://www.walmart.com/registry/ER/48828f18-79df-4dd1-bcb2-77edb8b0263e This registry is not limited! We will accept any item with any brand, any flavor, and in any quantity as long as it is non-perishable. This list is only to help those that need some ideas when shopping. As of now, the primary need from this ministry are food items to help supplement dinner. When delivering or ordering to be delivered to the school, please use the name "Amy Harbison" so that the donations will go to the right place. Thanks!"

It was brought to our attention last night that there was a potential situation involving a threat from one of our students toward another student. School officials in cooperation with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office investigated the potential threat and the student in question is in the custody of the Cleveland County Sheriff’s office. We cannot make any further comment at this time due to an ongoing investigation of the matter. Your students safety is our top priority at Woodlawn School District. -Dr. Kevin Hancock, Superintendent
